Jaqueline's Story
Jaqueline's story begins like so many immigrant stories, parents coming to the U.S to give their children a better chance at life.
Jaqueline came from South America many years ago with two young children, she worked two jobs in order to be able to provide for her kids and give them a better quality of life. Not only did she have hopes and dreams for her children, Jacqueline always knew that one day she would reach her own dream of homeownership.
We met Jacqueline through Synergy Development Center, Synergy helps connect prospective home buyers to federal, state and local housing programs which provide qualified buyers with grants and attractive financing terms for affordable housing. Through this nonprofit organization, Jacqueline was able to secure $50,000 in downpayment assistance.
After many months of filling out and gathering paperwork Jacqueline's mortgage broker did not put in the necessary effort needed to get her paperwork completed in time and sadly Jackie's deal fell through - she no longer qualified for the $50K downpayment assistance. BUT we were not going to let Jackie's dream go unfulfilled! Eddy along with Synergy Center kept searching and after many tireless weeks, they were able to find Jackie a beautiful home that she could afford without city assistance!
